SONG COMPETITION
Following the great success of last year’s CoG Song Contest, we’re excited to bring this community event back for another round. Here are the rules:
- Each team should submit a song inspired by one of their accepted COG papers. If you have multiple accepted papers, please select just one for your entry. While not all team members need to be authors of the chosen paper, each person may only participate in one team. There is no limit on team size.
- The song can be self-produced or AI-generated. Songs do not need to be performed live by the submitting teams.
- To participate, please upload a single zip file with the ID of the paper covered in the song as its name (e.g., 123.zip for the paper with the ID 123) containing of the following elements:
- an mp3 file of 2-3.30 minutes length
- a jpg/png file cover image with a minimal resolution of 1024×1024 pixels
- a txt file including the names of the persons involved, one corresponding contact email address, the song title and the lyrics of the song as a txt file
- Upload everything before the start of the conference given the link sent via email.
At the beginning of the conference, we will upload all songs to our Discord server and invite everyone to listen in and upvote their favorite songs. The three highest ranked songs, will be played during a special session on the last day of the conference to have a public vote on the best song. Please note: while AI-generated submissions are absolutely welcome, last year’s winners made a big impression with their own rap skills.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Alexander Dockhorn (adoc@mmmi.sdu.dk). We are looking forward to this special type of conference contribution!
