Workshops at CoG 2025 are designed to foster idea exchange, community-building, and the exploration of emerging or interdisciplinary research areas in games research. With this Call For Workshop proposal, we would like to especially encourage workshops that create space for collaboration, discussion, and tangible outcomes rather than being traditional paper-presentation sessions.
Workshops may include a mix of activities, such as:
Facilitated discussions or debates
Collaborative brainstorming sessions
Hands-on activities or demonstrations
Preparation of shared outputs (e.g., white papers, prototype designs, or action plans)
or other types of interactive sessions
Organizers are required to help promote the call for participation to potential participants and coordinate the peer review of submitted papers or contributions for the workshop. Accepted papers or outputs will be published as part of the auxiliary track in the CoG 2025 proceedings, subject to review and acceptance.
Workshops will be part of the CoG 2025 program (attendees must register for the conference) and are expected to be half-day events, though shorter or longer workshops will also be considered based on the activities proposed. Organizers should provide an overview of the planned activities, required resources, and any specific venue needed to facilitate these activities.
At least one organizer is required to attend CoG 2025 to run the workshop.
