Description
This tutorial aims to introduce participants to the TZEPIRC methodology, a structured approach for writing argumentative texts such as scientific papers. By focusing on the essential elements of Title (T), Problem (Z), Focus (E), Purpose (P), Information (I), and Conclusions (C), participants will learn to create coherent, persuasive, and well-organized academic documents.
Additionally, the workshop will highlight how this methodology has been adopted by la REDIVJ (Red Internacional en desarrollo y producción de Videojuegos) and the IEEE Task Force on Gamification Research and Education. These organizations have utilized TZEPIRC to encourage critical reading and evidence-based writing as ameans to bridge the gap between industry and academia. By fostering these skills, they aim to elevate the level of discourse in game development and promote collaboration in tackling complex challenges at the intersection of technology and creativity.
This session is designed for undergraduate and graduate students in STEM and humanities, early-career researchers looking to enhance their academic reading and writing skills, as well as educators, professionals, and game developers aiming to improve argumentative writing and foster stronger collaboration between academia and industry.
